If your Mac or PC can connect to the internet, the techs at Tastar can remotely connect to your system to work on solving a problem or review a specific situation. We do this by using a helper application - Mac HelpMate or Win HelpMate - to create a secure connection to your computer.

System Requirements:
  • Mac HelpMate requires System 10.3, 10.4 or 10.5
  • Win HelpMate requires Windows 2000, XP or Vista
  • a working DSL or faster internet connection is required for either platform.
You can download either Mac HelpMate (on the left) or Win HelpMate (on the right) by clicking on the appropriate link:

After you have downloaded the helper app, please follow these instructions:

Macintosh:
  1. Double-click the ZIP file to un-zip the application
  2. Drag the Mac HelpMate to your OS X Applications folder
  3. Double-click the Mac HelpMate application to open it
  4. When instructed by your Tastar tech, click on the "Click here to begin screen sharing" area to begin a screen sharing session.
Windows:
  1. Double-click the ZIP file to un-zip the application
  2. Double-click the Win HelpMate application to open it
  3. When instructed by your Tastar tech, click on the sharing tab on the right side of the Win HelpMate window and then click the sharing button to begin a screen sharing session.
